Ok – for you who do not have heeps
of time, heres the short version:
1: Adelaide – fucking boring
town.
2: Greyhound busride from
Adelaide to Alice Springs: Boring, not good, but we got to meet
lovely danish girl Lea:)
3: Sidenote: We do not agree
with everyone telling us scarestories of the roads in the outback. It
would not have been a problem driving by ourselves.
4: Alice Springs is a really
nice place, hot, but lovely. Much better than Adelaide. I am still in
love with Aboriginal art.
5: Rock-Tour. We were a team of
20 that went on a rock tour to explore Uluru, Kata Tjuta and the
Kings Canyon. It was a great group of people and we now have many new
friends.
6: Uluru was our first stop,
great scenery and interesting cultural and spiritual history. Many
funny carvings on the sides that made us smile a lot:) Sunset was nice
and sunrise was better – though clumsy Stian tripped and fell flat
on his face and made everyone laugh;) haha
7: Kata Tjuta we explored on the
second day of the tour. Kata Tjuta means many heads in the Aboriginal
language. Its a mountainious area made up of many rocks. We walked
the Valley of the Winds which was very nice:)
8: Afterwards we saw Mount
Connor, and we also got to see wildlife in form of lizards:)
9: Kings Canyon: Last day we
walked and explored the Kings Canyon. An amazing walk for sure:)
10: Party: We rounded off the
day with a dinner and a party with the group. We are forever thankful
to our guide Myles who did an excellent job :)
Ups and downs:
Thumbs up: The nature, the
people, Alice Springs, Rock-tour and the food:)
Thumbs down: Adelaide,
The flies and the heat :(
Dont expect photos here you lazy
bastards! Read the long version instead;)
