G'day from Alice Springs

| By Kenneth Tristan André |

Arrived in Alice Springs a little after 2pm on February 3rd, one friend richer.
On the bus from Adelaide we got to know the lovely Lea from Denmark.
She was staying at the same hostel as us, Toddy's, and had originally booked The Rock Tour a few days later than us, but while we all was down to speak with the tourguide she desiced to join us the next day instead. Who can resist the charm of two norwegians ;P

After all formalities regaring our tour had been dealth with, we desided to go for a walk in the city and also on top of Anzac hill to get a good wiev over Alice Springs.

Since it was the 3rd of February and we were going to be in the outback on my birthday, we all went out to have a realy good, though expencive, dinner that evening.
The restaurant for today was The Overlanders Steakhouse, where I ordered a steak of the jumping kind, kangaroo.
A early night before we had to get up and wake the rooster, and off on tour we went.

We had the pleasure of beeing in a rather young group with four danes, two canadians, two french, one pourtogueese, one german, two chineese and four koreans and of course a guide from the UK, Myles.

I'm not going into detail of places we went to as Stian might have done that already.
Destination for day one, Uluru, in the dessert heat.
Day two, Walley og the winds.
Day three, Kings Canyon before heading back to Alice Springs.

After our return we (Me, Lea and Stian) relaxed by the pool at our hostel for an hour or so before we went to a group reunion at The Rock Bar, for food and drinks.....a lot of drinks.
It was time to celebrate my birthday the real way.

It was a very good night out and some shots and buckets of cider later I crashed in my bead and woke up at 2:00 pm the next day. I've sure had better days.
Stian went on sightseeing in the City while Lea and I just relaxed by the pool before having breakfast at McDonnalds at 7:00pm at night.

The next day it was time for yet another hard goodbye, this time with lovely Lea.
She was a blast spending time with, and we agreed that we had to catch up when we get back to Eurpoe.
Have a good onward journey and a good trip back home Lea. Miss you sunshine :)
