Happy Australia day!

By Kenneth Tristan André

Little did I know that Australia was to celebrate it's national day on January 26th.
This was also the day that Fredrikke had to go back to Norway, but before she left we had to go for a walk to see all the crazy aussies walking around in the streets.

It seems like a common thing for most aussies on Australia day is to have a huge barbeque and get drunk. Some start to drink early in the morning, we discovered.
The streets of Sydney was filled with different venues and streetfairs, music and a lot of people.

The time went by fast and we said our goodbyes, and then I was alone in the big city.
I desided to walk around for a few hours before heading over to Darling Harbour and watch the Australia Day Spectacular (25 minutes of fireworks). Aurelio from Brazil joined in aswell. The show was amazing, almost like New Years eve.

There was no BBQfor us, but after the fireworks we went back to the bar, Bulletin Place, toget drunk as the locals. It was a long night that ended early in the morning.....
